Remember the Nirvana album cover featuring a naked baby floating in a pool? Well, that baby is now a 17-year-old from Eagle Rock. Spencer Elden recently took a dip in the same pool at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center in Pasadena for an updated photo shoot – this time wearing shorts.
“Quite a few people in the world have seen my penis. It’s kind of cool, I guess,” he told the British newspaper, The Telegraph. “I feel like I’m the world’s biggest porn star. But I’m just a normal kid living it up and doing the best I can while I’m here.”
It’s not clear if this new photo made Elden, interviewed last year by MTV, any money. But it certainly made us feel old.
* An earlier version of this post said Elden was a student at Eagle Rock High. He was, until last year when he transferred to a military academy, a reader informs us via an Eagle Rock teacher. Another British newspaper, the Independent, says Elden’s parents sent him to a military boarding school to deal what the paper described as “a tendency to test authority.” Is this what grunge rock does to kids?
