There are several Obama stories with an Eastside connection floating about today:
First, as mentioned earlier, Echo Park artist Shepard Fairey’s Obama artwork is featured on the cover of Time magazine’s Person of the Year Issue.
The LA Times wrote about a Highland Park man as he rides 4,500 miles on a bike to attend the Obama inaugural.
Back to Time magazine, which also ran a gallery of Obama photos during his college years at Occidental College in Eagle Rock.The photographer, a former classmate of Obama, found the photos (one is pictured above) in her basement. I’m not sure what’s more upsetting: the smoking or the hat.
