The four-year-old boy was shot this afternoon while walking with his sister in the southern edge of Echo Park near the intersection of Court and Bixel streets, according to the LA Times and AP.
He is the fourth Echo Park kid to be killed by gunfire in a little more than two years. All three of those previous murders -which claimed the lives a 9-year-old girl in Angeleno Heights, a 13-year-old boy near Echo Park Lake and a 15-year-old in an Echo Park alley – remain unsolved.
