The LAPD has arrested four suspects in connection with some of the 10 recent street robberies in Echo Park and Silver Lake. Gang unit detective Lou Vargas, who is heading the investigation of the assaults, said this afternoon that officers arrested two adults and two juveniles believed to be responsible for a cluster of attacks in Silver Lake.
The four suspects are listed in the LAPD’s database of known gang members, he said. Police have said that the attacks in Silver Lake and Echo Park against 10 men were the work of two separate gangs. Vargas said officers are still investigating the case. “We are still trying to track down witnesses.”
LAist, which earlier today reported the news of two arrests, said that charges are expected to be filed Tuesday.
