    Former Echo Park resident Dave Caballero opened his accordion shop and school in Atwater Village in 1971. Six months after he opened for business, a German immigrant named Veronika became one his students and, eventually, his wife and business partner. “Of course, the lessons kept getting longer and longer,” Caballero said in this video report created by a USC student. The couple have three children, four grandchildren and countless students and customers.
