• Elysian Park is full of surprises these days

    Monday, June 1, 2009

Along with lowrider car shows, fires and evidence of animal sacrifice, visitors to Elysian Park have recently reported some other unusual sightings in the city’s second largest park. One reader of The Eastsider reports seeing a lone Blue Heron that watches morning commuters drive through the park on Stadium Way. Another Echo Park resident, Jim Ward, on Sunday came upon the pictured art installation near the Grace Simons lodge on the west side of the park. What will they find next? Don’t ask.
