
A demolition crew today was tearing apart the interior of the former Pioneer Chicken in Echo Park, where the once fast-growing, fast-food chain opened its first outlet more than 40 years ago. The outlet on Echo Avenue outlet, one of the last remaining, closed in March. No official word about what’s going to fill the space but workers on the site said to expect a Little Caesars Pizza.
Update: A recent building permit says the work is for a “new Little Caesars.”
