• Afternoon shooting in Silver Lake

    Monday, February 22, 2010

Shots were fired this afternoon in Silver Lake after two men got into an argument leaving a liquor store near Sunset Boulevard and Lucile Avenue, police said. Employees at several nearby businesses said they heard at least three shots around 3:30 PM and then two men running west on Sunset Boulevard. “There was evidence of a shooting” but no one was hit, said Sgt. Joseph Sanchez with the LAPD Rampart Division. The shooting took place in the driveway of a small shopping center that contains the liquor store and several other businesses, according to one worker who heard the shots but did not see the incident.
