Echo Park residents awoke this morning not only to find the neighborhood gas station locked down by federal investigators but to an early morning traffic accident on Echo Park Avenue south of Armitage Street. The accident, which took place at about 7:30 A.M. in the 1800 block of Echo Park Avenue, sent a white sedan crashing into a parked vehicle before coming to rest on the sidewalk, according to residents. An official with the LAPD’s Central Traffic Bureau said she was not aware of any major injuries. Investigators were still trying to determine what happened.
