It’s bad enough having your business robbed at gunpoint. But what if one of the robbers was a former customer? That’s what might have happened on Monday afternoon at a Silver Lake nail and beauty salon located in a mini mall at Sunset Boulevard and Golden Gate Avenue. Salon workers recognized one of the two robbers as a former customer, according to a nearby business owner who circulated an email about the robbery. “Girls told me one of the guys had his eyebrows waxed there,” said the email describing the incident. LAPD Sgt Michael Mabie with the Rampart Division said employees told detectives one of the men looked like a former customer but did not say what kind of services he purchased. The two men – who made off with cash from the register, a laptop computer and other personal belongings from five people at the salon – are still at large.
