• The Eastsider has moved to its new home

    Sunday, May 30, 2010

    • Good morning.  The Eastsider has moved to a new home on the web and also made some changes to the design and layout. As with any move, somethings got broke and a few are missing. Here are some issues that are being worked out:
    • Emails problems.(Have been fixed)
    • Where did the comments go? Most of the comments didn’t follow along. So, they have to be added back over time.
    • Links don’t work: Links to older Eastsider stories are being updated and will be working soon.
    • Photos: Some of the photos in stories posted before this year might appear in odd sizes or have been supersized. They are being resized as well.
    • Apps: Anyone willing to work on an Eastsider iPhone app?

Looks great! Congrats. Re: mobile version, if you’re still using wordpress, they have some free plugins that’ll detect mobile browsers…

Love the new look, great use of Thesis. A good plugin for a mobile version of the site is Word Press Mobile Edition with the Carrington theme. Keep up the great work, we all appreciate it!
