Good neighborhood pool?

Can anyone recommend a local neighborhood pool in the 90032-ish area? Any opinions on Highland Park Rec Center pool? Need a good place for my 4-year old to take lessons. thanks

  1. Hey Henin, I’d suggest Yosemite Rec Center. They have a seasonal pool and provide swimming lessons for toddlers; they also have quite a few other activities your 4 year old to participate in. The think I like about this pool is it tends to look cleaner and fresher but maybe that’s because it’s less crowded than the HP Pool. This site has more info:

  2. What about Alatorre pool? Located right behind Farmdale Elementary off Eastern.

  3. For sure the indoor pool at El Sereno Rec Center has classes for toddlers and is open all year round, even on the weekends. They even offer private lessons. http://www.laparks.org/dos/aquatic/facility/richardAlatorrePool.htm

  4. Gilbert Santacruz

Echo Deep Pool in 90026, right off the 101 freeway. Amazing, clean, spot just for kids and spot just for teens. keeps the splashes to a minimum. Showers are warm water, which is awesome. Restrooms are updated and clean. I mean what ever youre looking for this indoor pool is amazing. I took my two toddlers and it was perfect for them. I recommend. HIGHLY!

  5. Glassell Park Pool on Verdugo is a wonderful year round pool. Showers are
a little basic, but spotlessly clean. Staff is friendly. Pool is clean, people are
nice. Highly recommend. It’s now closed on Mondays due to budget cuts.
