  • Twinkle Toes Dance Co. has branched out from the Valley with Ballet for Kids (pictured above) classes in the 1st Defense space in Highland Park.
  • Mooi, the raw vegan restaurant in Echo Park, will launch its Sunday brunch this weekend with such items as chocolate pancakes with cashew whipped cream and seared shiitake mushroom walnut spinach & lentil cassoulet.
  • The Mohawk General Store and Amsterdam Modern have teamed up to open a new furniture and accessories store in Sunset Junction.
  • What happens when you combine a doughnut with a muffin? Taste the results at Village Bakery in Atwater Villlage.
  • The closure of the Cycleway Coffee left Hermon without a coffee house.  But now The Pantry Arabica Cafe will re open in the same spot with coffee, Belgian waffles & more.
  • Silver Lake beekeeper Amy Seidenwurm  creates a honey-themed menu next Tuesday at  Canale in Atwater, with honey and pimenton roasted root vegetables and honey-basted half-chicken.

    It would appear that Mooi isn’t strictly raw as they have pancakes and seared shitake mushrooms among other cooked goodness
