What’s the fashionable snowman & snowwomen wearing these days?

The Elysian Park holiday decorations made out of tumbleweeds are scheduled to be spray painted white today before volunteers are  to return on Friday for the finishing touches (volunteers, by the way, are still needed).  But the pair of  12-foot-high Elysian Park snowmen and a  snowwoman are not made out of tumbleweeds and  plastic buckets alone.  They need fashion accessories. Elysian Park maintenance supervisor Mark Jackson put out a call via email for some extra items to spruce up the trio of figures for the holidays:

“Needed items are fancy ornaments or decorations for “Ms.” [snowwoman's] earrings, long red piece of fabric for “Mr.” [snowmen] scarf, and any little holiday pieces of interest you may have to help, dress this gang up for the holidays.”

Volunteers who want to help accessorize the tumbleweed trio should report for duty at 9 a.m. Friday at the Elysian Park maintenance yard at Academy Road and Solano Canyon Drive.
