Sneaking a peak at Echo Park Lake

Some holes in the mile-long green screen surrounding Echo Park Lake provide the only view of park to passersby. “I took this on my walk to work today,” said Edward Faktorovich, who snapped the above shot.

  1. Wow, same lake haha They drained the lake a couple years back and there was no big difference. Except that it smelled better. Hope this time its worth it.

  2. Echo Park Lake was last drained in 1984, and besides mucking it out much was done, bubbler system and fountain jets, islands and rock piles for fish structure installed. In reality much was done.

  3. The lake was drained after 84′. Sometime in the 90s. Only reason I remember was because we walked across the narrow part as kids.
