  1. Mitch O’Farrell is a great asset to this community. I hope he’ll toss his hat in the district 13 council race.

  2. Eric Garcetti’s staff is the worst!!!! They don’t respond to anything they think is beneath them or that dosen’t further their boss’s political ambitions. That is their job. I truly hope that when Garcetti is finally out of office that all his staff is too.

  3. Does anyone know about a low-flying prop plane buzzing Echo Park blvd early this morning at approximately 6am? After years of living in the neighborhood I’ve grown accustomed to the noise of police helicopters but this seemed to be something different.

  4. From the Department of Unnecessary & Meaninglessness I bring this clarification: That photo is not of a structure in Echo Park. It’s located in Silver Lake on Larissa Drive just a few paces west from the Micheltorena steps. If if I were REALLY lame I’d google up the streetview link but such an unnecessary and meaningless ancillary act falls beyond even the broadscope of this department’s purview. Feel free to return to your regularly scheduled lives while I try to go get one.

Hi Will- This was my fault as photo editor. I went off of the of the photographer’s description he had on his Flickr page and didn’t know that it actually was Silver Lake. If this was “Guess Where LA” you would have been the winner! MAK

  6. @ Thanks, Will. “Echo Park Colors” have been changed to “Silver Lake Colors.”
