A pony trotting across Echo Park Avenue. Dancers gyrating in the Magic Gas parking lot. A cowboy with a lasso sitting on the fire hydrant of Chango Coffee. What to make all of this? It won’t be clear until a vitamin water commercial filmed in Echo Park today airs on TV. However, the pony – covered with green dots – will probably end up looking like an antelope or a large aardvark once special effects crews get done with it, according to crew members

So, were the pumps caution-taped for this shoot or have all the pumps finally failed or is magic gas closing, or what?
@Q – yeah I stopped at Magic Gas once – not too magical, gotta say…
OMG this is why i moved here ….. we are all so lucky to have this fun stuff happen in the hood…. i feel so cool!!!!
I can actually see the green marks on the horse for the CGI later. Might be a flying horse in the commercial. Nice. :)
Oh, so that’s why they wouldn’t let me park to get my morning coffee- despite not having no parking signs and about five other cars being parked in front of Chango…
You should have just parked anyways. Man up! Don’t let others push you around.
