Cypress Park residents were advised to stay inside tonight as police searched for a man spotted carrying a gun. The man was apprehended after 8 p.m. following a foot chase and with the assistance of the LAPD’s K9 Unit, said Sgt. Wayne Guillary with the Northeast Division. There was no shooting but Guillary had no further details about the incident or a specific location. Residents living near the Cypress Park Recreation Center said a police helicopter had hovered overhead as a voice through a loudspeaker instructed residents to lock doors and windows during the search.
Wow! I was there at Cypress Park when this all went down. We were having a birthday party in the park when all the drama unfolded. That’s LA.
The man let him self be taken in but the cops still released the dogs on him. He recieved bites on the arm but did not recieve stitches only a bandade even though the bites were severe.
Who gives a crap if all he got was a band aid . This pos was carrying a gun at a rec center where kids play and innocent people were having a birthday party.
