Woman fatally injured while crossing Silver Lake street *

A 23-year-old woman died after she was struck by a car as she walked across Rowena Avenue in Silver Lake. The woman was walking outside of a crosswalk when she was hit by a car traveling westbound at about 10:30 p.m., according to Sgt. Gregory Hoyte with the LAPD’s Central Traffic Bureau.
