Jennifer Blair snapped the above photo this morning of the elite male runners of the Los Angeles Marathon arriving in Angeleno Heights as they headed to the finish line in Santa Monica.  Simon Njoroge  Kenya, won the men’s division with an unofficial time of 2:12:11, according to KTLA.   The marathon is over for Njoroge but there are about 23,000 other runners still on the streets, many of them still passing through Echo Park and Silver Lake on Sunset Boulevard. Neighborhood streets are expected to reopen by about 11 a.m. but expect bus service to be disrupted for much of the day.

Re Frank McCourt: Ordinarily I would scold the public for booing a man in his own parking lot . . .but with Frank McCourt, it is rather like scolding your kid for pigging out on Oreos! Who could resist the irresistable?
