LAPD seeks public’s help in solving Angeleno Heights slaying

With a memorial service planned this morning for Etsael Cardenas Jr, the 21-year-old Angeleno Heights resident who was fatally shot while sitting in his car last weekend, the police have issued a Community Alert seeking more information as the killer remains at large (Click on the link below larger versions of the notice in English and Spanish). Cardenas had been sitting in his car listening to music when he was shot in front of his family’s home in the 1000 block of West Kensington Road early Sunday morning. Police have said there is no evidence that the shooting is gang-related.

My cousin wasn’t gang related. He was a hard working young man who did everything for his family. Rampart division is not doing anything to help my family there just trying to file it as gang related so they don’t have to do there job. These people are out there and who knows who they’ll kill next.

  2. I am so sorry to hear about your cousin. It is just awful and I don’t even have to words to express what I want to say to you and your family. Hope they catch them.

  3. What kind of ANIMAL murders someone in cold blood?
