Firefighters snuff out brush fire near Elysian Heights

Firefighters this afternoon quickly put out a grass fire that burned less than an acre near Stadium Way and the 5 Freeway.  The slow moving blaze that broke out in thick brush around 2 p.m. took about 40 minutes to extinguish, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. No injuries or damage to structures was reported.
