Elysian Heights Elementary needs help for school garden makeover

The Elysian Heights Elementary Garden Club is seeking volunteers to help on Saturday, June 16 to give the school’s garden an “extreme makeover” and  make it a better learning environment for students. Working with Enrich LA school garden program, Elysian Heights garden volunteers will clear away old beds, remove stumps, plant and also build compost bins, a seating area and an outdoor prep station for the kids to cook. They will also add a community garden section.

Volunteers will be needed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food will be provided but volunteers are asked to bring a reusable drinking bottle. contact Elizabeth Villamarin at lbeth27@msn.com to sign up.
