Shopper & Diner Report: Eagle Rock serves as a backdrop for fashion lookbook

When it came to shoot fashion photos for its new Summer 2012 Lookbook, Eagle Rock’s MediaNoche boutique stayed close to home.  Photographer Max Gough and models wearing apparel and accessories from such designers as Yumi Kim, ArynK and  AK Vintage  and  used the surrounding neighborhood and businesses as backdrop, including Armon’s Diner (shown above) where a model wears a Maloom sheer print top ($72). 1. Trying to refrain from the
    Mean spirited comments

  2. Seconding what Alijill said.

  3. No mean-spirited comments from me! I think these photos are gorgeous and I love that they were all shot in Eagle Rock. I know where I am shopping this weekend.

  4. really, what mean spirited remarks can be made about a picture of a cute girl? you people need to take an anger management class.

  5. Let’s just hit the ranting points all at once to get it over with:

    Over-priced coffee
    Craft brew
    Skinny jeans
I’ve lived here for a long time
    Parents credit card
    Fixed gear
    Go back to Ohio/the Westside

  6. that’s April’s sister on Parks and Rec! shit she’s hot!

  7. It’s more about the flagrant abuse of the iPhoto adjustments panel.

    • Yeah, most of these photographs look terrible.

      • It appears that the “Mean spirited comments” have been removed so it’s hard to tell what they were referring to, but my God, is everyone with a digital camera a “photographer” these days? It’s not about the model, but more about how her skin tone is rendered.

      • Yeah these are really bad. I don’t want to be mean but its the truth. The photographer should know so they can improve future photos. That HDR toning or whatever it is is just awful and you shouldn’t be shooting a lookbook with such a wide lens. A lot of the images are underexposed and all the blacks are crushed. I hope no one paid the photographer for these. Sorry just being honest.

  8. That model is adorable. Love all the effects used in the photos.very creative. Where is this store?

  9. Cute girls. Cute clothes. Great locations. Horrific Photoshop.

  10. MediaNoche is my favorite store in Eagle Rock. They have the best selection of hats in LA. Great job on the lookbook. The ladies look gorgeous.
