Man injured in Elysian Valley shooting

A man was shot in the back early this morning as he was getting out of a car in the 2300 block of Gail Street in Elysian Valley.   The victim survived the shooting that took place shortly after midnight, said Lt. Mike Menza with the Northeast Division.  Police do not believe the victim is a gang member, and investigators are trying to determine the motive for the shooting, Menza said. The shooter remains at large.

Time may pass but some things stay the same. My nephew Rudy, a non gang member was working on a car in Elisian Park when he was shot and killed over 20 ago.
