- Diablo, the new Silver Lake taco and Mexican restaurant, is in the process of adding new side dishes and some lower-priced tacos, said managing partner Summer Stearns. While those new items are in the works, Diablo will serve up complementary “Michelada Pop” for L.A. Beer Week on Sept. 20-30 as part of its Happy Hour promotion.
- Atwater Village awaits the opening of two new shop on Glendale Boulevard, reports Atwater Village Now. They include a new boba, shake and coffee spot called Boba Loca (love that name) and Vox Populi, a music venue and partnership between the owners of Kaldi Coffee and Jacknife Records.

- City Sip, the Echo Park wine bar, reopens today after a week-long makeover, reports Patch. Expect new comfy couches as well as a “comfort menu” to complement the wine list.
