The Eastsider back in August reported on an Echo Park house for sale that had been virtually stripped of all the “Old World Charm” touted in its sales listing. But within the last week, that same 868-square-foot Cortez Street home built in 1898 officially changed hands for $242,000, according to Redin. Not only did the house in the southern of Echo Park find a buyer but its owners got $12,000 over their asking price.

Well I’ll be a drunk monkey, good for them! (re: owners asking price)
That’s an unattractive house in a still very, very sketchy part of Echo Park. So, Wow. Good for them.
