Fall fundraiser to benefit Elysian Valley school music program

Dorris Place Elementary will hold a Fall Festival Fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 26 to help fund an instrumental music program at the Elysian Valley school.  The festival includes a haunted house, petting zoo, face painting food and other activities. The Partners of Dorris, a school support group, explains why its important to support the festival:

This community-wide Fall Festival Fundraiser is crucial to us as it is our one opportunity to fund an instrumental music program and to bring the arts back to our deserving K-6th grade students. Due to the $600 million LAUSD budget deficit, fine arts have been slashed in our public elementary schools. We look forward to your support and have a special offer for those who purchase their tickets in advance.

Discounted, pre-festival tickets are for sale at the school or persons who cannot make the event can make a contribution online.
