Eastside Shopper & Diner Report

  • Before You Get Malled: The Atwater Village Chamber of Commerce wants to remind those post-Thanksgiving shoppers that are several blocks of neighborhood stores ready to serve them between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. More details about Shop Atwater First
  • New Cafe Brewing: Golden Road Brewery in the process of adding a new and more restaurant at the Atwater Village facility, reports KCET. Chloe’s will offer a more intimate setting than the large pub that already operates at the brewery. Expect Chloe’s to open to the public around year’s end.
  • Silver Lake Chef Shake Up: Only about a year after arriving at Cliff’s Edge, chef Bejamin Bailly has unexpectedly left behind the Silver Lake restaurant operated by Dana Hollister, whose other restaurants and bars include the Brite-Spot in Echo Park. Bailly has been replaced by former Public Kitchen & Bar chef Vartan Abgaryan, who has focused the menu on “local, seasonal seafood, meats and veggies,” said Daily Dish.
