Found: Sweet and well groomed dog in Atwater

Submitted by C. Sanchez

Found this dog on November 20th at 4pm, around Dover and Edenhurst. She is very sweet and not shy at all. I am sure someone is missing her. She was well groomed and fed. Please contact me ASAP if this is your dog, coxo123@gmail.com. We leave town for the long weekend and will be back on Monday. I do NOT want to take her to the pound, but if I don’t get a call by the time we leave I will take her to the Pasadena Humane Society on Raymond.

  1. This dog obviously belongs to someone. PLEASE, if nothing else, post a photo of her at the N Central Animal Shelter on Lacey St. It’s the shelter that covers the Atwater area, NOT Pasadena Humane. I understand that no one wants to turn a dog into an animal shelter, but it’s the best way to get it back to its rightful owner. Pasadena HS is for animals found in their pickup area. Thanks for caring.

  2. Also, believe it or not Pasadena has a higher euthanization rate than N. Central. They are not no kill.

  3. It’s possible the dog has an ID chip. You should take it to a vet and have it scanned. That could turn up the owner.

  4. I will take the dog as a temporary measure. Where do you live?

  5. You might consider contacting JeanMarie, the Director of Animal Welfare in Atwater Village, (323) 663-2403.
