For a while there it looked like the holidays would come and go without the tumbleweed snowmen and snowwomen taking their place in Elysian Park. But this morning, the decorative figures fashioned from tumbleweeds, buckets and the tips of playing field cones made their annual appearance after being installed along Stadium Way and Academy Road by a crew of Recreation and Parks workers, said Christine Peters, who snapped photos and helped out with the installation. The rainy weather had delayed the creation of the decorations (it’s not a good idea to spray paint a wet tumbleweed) but they will now be on display for several weeks.
Who needs snow. Tumbleweed “snow” people are the best snow people ever!
Yay! They look cute as ever.
They are adorable!
It’s the little things that make a big difference! What’s the holidays without the Tumbleweed snow peeps!?!?
Tradition!
Wow, they look great! Thanks, Christine, for helping to organize this event, and thanks everyone, who donated time and materials.
