Today’s Echo Park Community Parade ended with the arrival of Santa on the back of a bright red pick up truck. But way before Santa pulled down Sunset Boulevard, there was plenty to see, including a procession of kids decked out in holiday costumes and performing in drill and dance teams.
A fleet of rumbling low-riders and classic cars, including some vintage Beetles, also had people snapping photos and cheering. Santa also had to compete with many dogs for attention, including some that arrived in their own red coats and antlers.
Great parade this year! Awesome performances by a lot of hard working kids. Thanks parade participants for a great show!
One of the best of EP Christmas parades yet! Thanks to the planners and performers!
The best Echo Park Parade for me was when Boss Hogg of the Dukes of Hazard , was rolling down Sunset in a big white car , the shriners were doing stunts on the tiny motor bikes , and the Locke H.S Drill team was marching to the beat of huge drums being rolled behind them ……….Childhood memories.
I had no idea this was happening.
