  1. The crime stats from LA Now are so inaccurate. They include areas which are NOT Mt Washington or are borderline (Marmion & Museum) and until recently were NOT Mt Washington (until the signs were moved…again). The boundaries LAT uses bear little reference to the boundaries of the various Neighborhood Councils…which is the more accurate presentation of a specific ‘neighborhood’.
    Using the designation “Mount Washington” for everything on the slopes of the hills down to the major streets (Fig, Eagle Rock, etc) may make it easy for the people cataloguing the survey but does nothing to validate their overall accuracy or attention to detail.

  2. Speaking of bird counts, there’s been a solitary American White Pelican circling the lake the past two afternoons.
