Silver Lake honors Sandy Hook victims

An impromptu memorial to the Sandy Hook shooting victims has begun taking shape at Sunset Junction in Silver Lake. Jennifer Canal took a photo of the memorial at the corner of Sunset and Santa Monica boulevards as she walked by last night. The memorial consists of candles, balloons, flowers and a sign attached to a barricade that reads: “Bless The Children.” “I thought it was a very touching and nice,” Canal said.  Meanwhile,  in Highland Park, a vigil to the 20 children and six adults killed in Sandy Hook was to have taken place on Monday night at Figueroa Street and Avenue 53.
