At least 50 fans of Local Natives  packed into Origami Vinyl in Echo Park tonight for a mostly acoustic set of new and old material.  Although the band is based in Silver Lake, tonight’s concert in Echo Park took three years to happen.  The wait was worth it for fans of Local Natives, with some traveling from as far as San Diego for the approximately hour-long show. At the end of the set,  singer Taylor Rice thanked Origami for setting up the show as well as the  fans – for coming to see them.  In fact, some of those fans had to listen to show while standing on the sidewalk outside the small Sunset Boulevard shop. Their new album, Hummingbird, is scheduled to come out next month.
