Today was probably colder than many Eastsiders would have liked but clear skies made for some great vistas, including at dusk when Martha Benedict of Montecito Heights aimed her new telephoto lens and captured the image above of a golden sky over the hills of Elysian Park. “I got a new telephoto lens today that is popular with birders,” Benedict said. “I’m still experimenting with what it can do. Here’s a shot at dusk from my house of the 110, last Figueroa tunnel, Dodger Stadium above, and the ocean.”
Fabulous and stunning photo, Martha! What is the lens? (I ask knowing that it’s the eye behind the camera that’s most important.) Such a classically beautiful photo encompassing so many wonderful LA landmarks!
Thanks, Sandy! It’s a 300mm prime.
Wow. I was stuck working in a windowless office at sunset
sorry to have missed that!
