Six persons, including two children, were transported to a hospital this afternoon following an apparent head-on collision between an SUV and a compact car in the 3800 block of North Broadway in Lincoln Heights, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.  The victims’ injuries ranged from minor to serious as a result of the collision that took place at about 1:30 p.m. near Lincoln High School.  No further details were available about the victims’ conditions, said LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey.  One of the victims was reported to be eight months pregnant, he said. The LAPD’s Central Traffic Bureau was investigating the incident.
