In a departure from the standard U.S. Postal Service uniform, this East Los Angeles mail carrier sported an ELA Station 90022 t-shirt when making his regular rounds on the 500 Block of Hoefner Avenue. “Here’s our U.S. mail carrier doing his job with pride,” said C.J. Salgado, who snapped the photo above.
I wouldn’t call that “doing it with pride”. I’d call it dumbing down the uniform.
I think it’s great. Yet another example (even if small the are starting to aggregate into a larger whole) of a new energy in ELA and the Postal service employees need to rally themselves during these troubled times for the post office.
It’s looking like the USPS will be cutting Saturday mail delivery come August.
