Welcome to Glassellland!

If the name Glassell Park does not stir much excitement, how about Glassellland?  That’s what a new Hollywood-like sign proclaims to motorists as they exit off the southbound 2 Freeway at Verdugo Road in Glassell Park.  No word yet about who is responsible or if they are working on Glassellland t-shirts.

  10. Now that the “Glassellland” sign is gone, we should think up some new slogans for the neighborhood:

“Glassell Park: Your view from the 2!”
“Glassell Park: Home to a big-ass storage-unit building!”
“Glassell Park: Come for Super King, stay for … hmm …”
“Glassell Park: We’re not Cypress Park!”
