On The Agenda: Atwater proposal to curb political mailings

In the wake of  the torrent of political mailers sent out during the recent municipal elections, the Atwater Village Neighborhood Council tonight is scheduled to review a resolution urging City Hall to offer residents the option of not receive political mailings, mirroring the National Do Not Call Registry that shields consumers from unwanted telemarketer calls.

Other agenda items of note include:

  • Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy will conduct a present on a new program called Don’t Waste LA.
  • Debate on a motion regarding the positing of a public hearing about the construction of a two story church, set to be larger than 85,000 square feet, will also take place.
