ArtFest East L.A.   returned to the East L.A. Civic Center on Sunday with a celebration of  the arts and Independence Day featuring  concerts, art displays,  food vendors and fireworks displays.

Whether you were craving for Hawaiian shaved ice, shrimp tacos, or pastries, tasty treats were everywhere. Kids got to enjoy face painting and free music lessons. Folks were rocking to the sounds of various musical performers, including Thump recording artist Daphne Puente (pictured on stage).

ArtsFest continues through September 7 with additional concerts and events.
