False alarm brings bomb squad to Echo Park Lake

The LAPD bomb squad cordoned off a section of Echo Park Lake late afternoon in response to a report of a suspicious item or package in the north end of the park. But the item turned out to be someone’s personal belongings, according to an officer with the Rampart Division.  Walter Spencer, who took photos of officers at the scene, said it appeared that the personal items were pieces of clothing left in a bag.

  1. Who must have left that there? Maybe a hipster, or a gangster? Back in the day, it could have been a stoner wearing walabee, or a cholo wearing hush puppies!
How do like that, looking for shadows where there isn’t even trees. It’s not like its Central Park NewYork, or now is it?

  2. Better safe than sorry…
