Signs of Eagle Rock

Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council

The Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council will spend as much as $12,000 on new street banners. But what will those banners look like?

The council is scheduled to meet tonight and review designs for the  banners that are intended to ” do outreach, boost civic [pride], and gussy the place up a bit,” according to the Eagle Rock council’s most recent email newsletter.   “One design that we like a lot is a public-domain image [pictured at right] provided by the Eagle Rock Valley Historical Society, from around the time Eagle Rock became an independent city in 1911,” said the email.

The cost of the banners, which will dangle from utility poles, might be offset if the City of Los Angeles refunds more than $9,000 for a similar project that was never completed.

  1. Perhaps something a little more modern?
