Lost in Echo Park: Tuxedo kitty named Lemmy

Submitted by Elza Burkart

Thursday night on N Alvarado and Whitmore ave, there was a crazy coyote attack and while I ran out to chase them away, my Lemmy ran off terrified. We’re new to the neighborhood and I think she’s disoriented. Lemmy is a small 3 year old black tuxedo kitty with white boots, mittens, a cute little white triangle tuft on her chest, and funny white crooked lip markings. She has a really distinct meow, and doesn’t have a collar. If you have ANY info, or have seen her or anything PLEASE call me, at any time! Call (415) 226-8351.

  1. You need to keep a close eye on your pets. No matter how much you chase the Coyotes they will come back. They are hungry and will take anything they can snatch up. I am so tired of reading these stories. I hope you find you cat safe and sound.

Oh no. I hope you find your cat soon — but I have to be honest…our tuxedo cat went missing in Echo Park a few months ago and he was eventually found mauled by coyotes by a neighbor. This area really isn’t great for cats.

  3. We lost a tuxedo about a year ago and have no idea what happened to her. There seems to be lost tuxedo epidemic on the east side.

I really do hope you find your cat and I will keep my eye out when I’m in your neighborhood. I wonder why this post isn’t showing up on the Lost and Found forum, though.
