Eastside Property: What does $1 million buy you in Silver Lake? Two bedrooms and a big lawn

The listing for this two-bedroom, one-bath Silver Lake house on Redesdale Avenue near the reservoir invites house hunters to map it on Google and take in the grounds of a “Casita compound” that features a classic Spanish-Colonial Revival style home, four outdoor patios and large backyard lawn. “The huge grassy lot awaits your next adventure. ~ Google Map it ~ THIS is the world and the home you and your dogs deserve,” says the listing on Redfin. Those dogs  better appreciate this place. After going up for sale at $985,000 in mid September, the sale of the approximately 1,200-square-foot home was completed this week at $1.150 million.

  1. Wow! That’s nearly $1000 sq ft. Huge lawn? Hell, my house is bigger than that lawn.

  2. Whats that shit they be smoking?? Tical, tical…

  3. Totally insane. I live nearby, and though it’s lovely there is NO WAY it’s worth that kind of cash. It’s TINY. SL prices are out of control.

  4. Too funny considering estimated US financial forecast starting (yes, starting!) in 2014 will be bleak – and it will get worse in 2015, 2016….
