Eastside Wheels: Fueling up before a Sunday cruise

Aztec touch/C.J. Salgado

The sight of a classic Chevy being fueled at the corner of Whittier and Atlantic Boulevard in East L.A.  caught the attention of C.J. Salgado. He took some photos and got some details from the owner:

Caught a beautiful 1951 Chevy Deluxe, of “True Memories” car club, loading up on octane this morning. Driver “Javier”explained it was a two-year project to restore it, plus inking on an impressive Aztec warrior onto the trunk door. After the quick pit stop, time for a nice Sunday drive down Whittier Blvd.

Eastside Wheels is devoted to the classic cars, bikes, skateboards and other eye-catching vehicles that roam the streets and sidewalks of the Eastside. Send in your photos and details to hello@theEastsiderLA.com
