  1. Fine, I’ll take the bait.

The NYTimes is great, but their LA coverage ranges from puzzling to laughable.

Article should have been titled “HP couple and (NY Times reporter) discover Pasadena”.

Did he seriously say “like Silver Lake 5 years ago?”

And Sam Maloof’s Studio? Great, but isn’t downtown LA closer to Pasadena?

  2. That story should be titled “Hipster Couple That Moved to Highland Park 2 1/2 Years Ago Finally Discovers Pasadena”.

I agree with Yagna, the “Silver Lake five years ago” is a scream. I get the impression that these folks moved to L.A. eight years ago? Nothing wrong with newcomers. Los Angeles has always welcomed them. But “discovering” that Pasadena is “becoming” artistic? Ha! When they find out about the Doodah parade? Minds will be blown.
