LAX shooting suspect had lived in Atwater Village*

News crews were parked outside tonight near the large Atwater Village apartment complex where Paul Anthony Ciancia, the alleged gunman in this morning’s deadly LAX shooting, had apparently resided, according to the L.A. Times and other news reports.

One resident of the  apartments on Los Feliz Boulevard told the Times that a large group of officers had been at the complex earlier in the day. Meanwhile, the owner of the Morrison restaurant and bar next door to the apartment complex said the 23-year-old Ciancia has been to the bar several times. Marc Kreiner said to the Times:

“He was kind of a quiet guy, came in mostly by himself, and one time with a couple of guys.

Ciancia had recently moved to Sun Valley, said his former roommate John Mincey, but the two men had lunch recently as last week, according to ABC7.   “I’m still trying to wrap my brain around it because from knowing this guy, it just doesn’t make sense,” he told the station.

  1. ABC news said today that Ciancia did NOT live at Rancho Los Feliz, he only stayed (crashed) with a friend for a week there.

    He lived in Sun Valley.
