Highland Park theater company puts a local spin on the traditional nativity play

Tuesday night’s bright moon served as a backdrop for the staging of  L.A. Pastorela, which puts a local spin on the traditional holiday shepherd’s story.  Martha Benedict was on hand to take photos of the show  that took place  indoors and outdoors at Avenue 50 Studio in Highland Park.  “It was a treat, starting off inside, then outside under the full moon, then back inside,” she said.

The show continues through Dec. 21.
