You can thank Hollywood for today’s snow and slush in Echo Park

Echo Park gas station turned winter wonderland.

It was cold today but not cold enough for a film crew shooting a commercial at the new Chevron Gas station at the corner of Echo Park and Morton avenues.   A truckload of 300-pound blocks of ice was shaved into flakes and then blown and piled across the gas station as darkness fell.  The commercial drew double takes from passing drivers, pedestrians as well as dogs.

Dash bus passengers arrives into slushy landscape.

Hollywood snowman blows flakes across gas station from the top of a lift.

Snow day for dogs.

Snow supplies.
